Frequently asked questions

Battery, charger, heat pump or another contract: what first?

That differs from home to home. Changes affect each other: two together can yield more or less than each separately, and a combination can also cost money. So calculate them separately and together.

They eat into each other

A home battery and solar charging both use the surplus solar power. With the car charging on solar, less is left for the battery, and vice versa.

They reinforce each other

A dynamic contract makes shifting consumption more valuable: a battery or a smart charger can then also charge during cheap hours. With a fixed contract with no difference per hour, that yields nothing.

Start from what you have

What is already there (panels, a car, your contract) determines what a next step yields. Shifting consumption at no cost often comes first. The calculator shows the options separately and together, with the yearly difference compared with now.
